[ATM] How Hot Is Your Scope?

I am learning that many room temperature curing epoxies used for laminating carbon fiber or fiberglass will soften at 130-160 F. This is at least in part why composite airplanes are white. When I read this, I remembered it from fiberglassing a hockey stick a long time ago, when I heated it up to cure it quicker... Has anyone who has used epoxy on their scope had problems with it softening from the heat of leaving it out in the sun? Covered or uncovered?

If I do a CF upper cage, I'm worried about the heat inside the top of a an aluminized bag in the desert sun. making it white obviously would not help here, and would cause all kinds of trouble at night. I am always surprised that a scope is as cool as it is when I take the bag off, but has anyone ever checked the temp there?

Has anyone used higher temperature curing epoxies, and, if so, is there a simple cheap way to cure them, short of an autoclave?

Thanks,

Rod
