RE: [ATM] Grinding questions

John,

I have used (3) United Lens Co. Pyrex blanks and they turned out fabulous.
I have also heard that Willman-bell kits are nice because they give you 2
blanks (one as a tool) so you could make a plaster tool and then you could
make 2 mirrors (binocular scope??) ;)

I decided on plate glass based on comments I had read elsewhere about it
being easier to work and also having a faster cool-down time. I think I may

have chosen poorly :-) I bought the glass from mirrorkits.com but they're
not doing business for the rest of this year so I need to find someone else
to buy a hogged-out pyrex mirror from. I'm going to try Newport Glassworks,

but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
- John
