Hi folks,

I microfacted and cleaned my lap and I pressed the lap well. Contact was
good with  a nice polishing movement. Stroke is chordal with the center
of the lap almost on the high zone. Overlap over edge is 2 inches.
Overhang on the length of the stroke is 2 inches. I did 15 minutes good
solid polishing and I have deepened the curve even more. Foucault
readings are:

0.0mm
4.2mm
10.4mm
15.7mm

Working the edge like this should have done different so what am I doing
wrong here? I would have expected by working the outer zones I would
have flattened the curve, but instead it gets deeper...

I have checked the support of the mirror whilst polishing, I have
concentrated where I put my hands on the tool so that I don’t expert
pressure in the centre. But to no avail...

Any ideas...
