For those interested in Mylar telescope mirrors:

See Sky & Tel - May 1979- article by Maurice Gavin, "Flux collectors".

I had a look through a 24" Mylar scope in Salt Lake City about 15 years ago.
Despite elaborate machining of the mirror cell I was underwhelmed by the
images.
Interesting, but possibly better quality reflective film might help.

I think I'll stick to flexing glass spheres :^)
