I did the same thing. I have an antique scope with regular clips, not silicone. Yet that mirror also crashed onto the secondary. Except in my case, both mirrors were damaged.

Because of this, I discovered that the secondary is made of a black material. Maybe obsidian?

Now I store my scopes with the primary pointed at the horizon. Less dust, less damage...
