ATM 12.5" mirror w/large chip

Hello all,

I have a 12.5" full thickness Pyrex mirror blank that is ground flat on
bothsides. About two years ago I had a book case fall on the blank and took
a large clamshell flake out of the face of the blank. It is about 3" wide
and 1/4" deep right at the edge.

Question??

Do I just grind on the other face or can I light ten the whole blank by
grinding a 1/4" off one of the faces.

I wanted a nice looking blank on both sides and was wondering ,how best to
do this??
