If you are good friends with your dentist, you can probably do it in his
office at the end of the day for a sixpack of good beer.
If you're just gong to be doing one mirror, there also is Gotgrit for
prepackaged baggies of dental stone.
If you are going to be doing a lot of mirrors, there is usually somebody in
the area (medium to large cities) who is selling a 25lb. box of stone for
about $18 plus taxes.  You can also find it on line for that kind of price.
