The Ronchi test on a star should be showing dead straight lines.  Any
curvature of those lines indicates errors.
If you want to get a bit more focus range in, take and unscrew the three
wingnuts on the primary exactly the same amount, two turns will probably be
enough to get you past focus for the Ronchi grating.  What this does is put
the mirror a little bit further up the tube.  Do a check on optical
alignment just to make sure that things are right.
