I'm making slooow progress with my 8" Nasmyth-Cassegrain Dob, and have
nothing to show on a web page yet either :-(
Oddly enough I stumbled on this particular design over 12 years ago, simply
because I didn't want to pierce the main mirror. My back being in the state
it is now, I'm glad I took this early decision.
Of course, it's even more to the point with larger dishes, but not be
rejected off hand for modestly sized scopes.
Have you laid out the rough specs for your project? Cassegrain isn't exactly
for low magnifications, what would you pick for a 24"?
Cheers,
Bernard
