Re: ATM Is micro facetting enough?
FWIW a while back I experimented with a few drops of detergent in a quart of
water as a means of promoting cerox distribution. I noticed that the lap
surface did not become glazed even with intense polishing and seemed to stay
slightly rough, which I attributed to the action of the detergent. This
mildly rough surface did seem to polish a little faster than I had
previously seen, whether from the texture or a basic pH. But I now think
that microfaceting with fly screen and/or veil material polishes even
faster, with or without detergent.
