ATM Sorbothane and Kevlar string---source for both

Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been mentioned. Just received a new Edmond
Scientific catalog in the mail. On page 32 they are selling Sorbothane
sheets and a large roll of Kevlar string. I mention this because I have seen
list members looking for a source for these materials. If you want more info
please contact me off list. (unless no one objects to me posting them here)

On the topic of Sorbothane, is this one of those products where "if a little
is good, is more better"? My thought is to make a set of three
anti-vibration pads for my EQ mount by placing a layer of Sorbothane between
two wood blocks. I'm wondering if two layers of 1/8" Sorbo between the
blocks would be better than one layer?
