Gil,
How thick is the 6" F8 disc? A simple center pull bolt attached with epoxy
may do very well.
The much more complex distributed load as per Adlers' article may serve no
purpose.
Don't buy anything until we have this worked out.

For example a 1/2" center puller will make a 6" F8 that is 1" thick into
better than a 1/11 wave
mirror with a little more than 40 lbs. of tension.
