Re: ATM Laptop power
I bought a used 486 IBM Thinkpad laptop - the Li-ion battery was dead.
It runs fine for 8 hours through it's charger and an inverter on a $20 garden
tractor battery.
The battery also provides 12V to the Bartels drive and encoder interface.
The inverter is rated 300 Watts continuous/600 peak; it barely gets warm.
A deep cycle battery would likely last longer, but this one has been OK for a
year so far.
