Re: ATM 22" binocular design

Hi, I'm at a disadvantage in reference to binocular vision. The sight in my
left eye is bad. To the point of only having peripheral vision. From about
10 degrees off axis I can only see the equivalent of 120 degrees off axis
with my good eye. Hence no stereo visioning of any quality at all but my
peripheral vision in the bad eye is excellent. I was wondering what the
advantages are in a binocular telescope. Do you actually see things in
stereo or is it just a matter of more light gathering abilities? Do you
suppose I could benefit from a bino scope with the only advantage to be
gained is off axis in one eye? I have heard that we have better off axis
night vision than on axis.
