Doug,

I had the same problem with my 13". I moved the teflon pads way out.
Problem solved. Movement is still very smooth although it requires
slightly more force. I think the trade off is a good one. You must keep
the teflon clean or you will notice more stiction, but it's pretty easy
to clean the bearing and teflon with 409 before setting up.
