They're real Brandons.  I bought one of these from Gary Hand a few years
ago. He said he bought the remaining stock from Vernonscope and sold them
all very quickly.  This is a very, very nice eyepiece.  It is scaled from
the original 28mm Pretoria design and has the same characteristics as the
University Optics 28mm and 16mm Pretorias except for multi coatings on the
lenses and a slightly larger field stop and thus wider apparent field.  
Vernonscope made only a small number and never advertised them; the
TeleVue Paracorr came soon after and obviated the need for specific coma
correcting eyepieces.
