Hi Bob
 You can try the 0.0015 but I did say 0.0005, half a thousandth.
Look at different dental floss. I've seen some that is this
small. It is just a single strand of the bundle.
I have a friend in marine research that has access to
this size wire but I haven't talked to him lately.
 Wait a little and one of the others that has actually built a
wire tester could give you a better idea on the required size.
