Do you really mean a half thou wire or 5 thousandths of an inch?  I think
you got 1 too many zeros in that number!  Half thou wire is rather hard to
find and dental floss doesn't even come anywhere close to the right size.
What I have is magnet wire (for electronics) and it goes pretty fine but not
that fine!  I'd hate to even try to handle wire that is 1/3 of what I'm
dealing with right now.
