Went through a spell where we made a ring lap (3.5" paper depresser for the
lap) and that did nothing at all.  This has been the most frustrating piece
of glass that I have ever seen.  You can change the ROC but you can't get
rid of the turned up ring/edge  Something is making that piece of glass just
the way it is.  I think that right now, I'm going to concetrate on reworking
my spindle so that I can properly mount the glass (tried double sided tape
and that didn't work for very long) and really have at a good session with a
small subdiameter lap on the outside area.
The place where the curvature changes is really interesting as it doesn't
seem to move about.  If nothing happens to it next Saturday, I'll probably
going to be posting pictures on my website to see if anybody's got some
answers.
