ATM Aluminium disk

Hi,

The question mostly addresses to those who use to build
aluminium scopes... I have nearly cut the OD of my sec
cage aluminum ring and I am wondering whether I should
use the Al disk left after the ID cut to make the triangles
for my mirror cell or if here is another good usage of
this 675x6 mm (about 27"x1/4") Al disk??? Protect the
mirror (smaller by 1 inch)? What would you do?
