Re: ATM and your C-8
hy tom
i did think about getting the worm assembly and motor
that celestacrap puts in their other scopes.
they refused to sell me the parts.
i built a german eq mount with mells circut and steppers
but havent figured out the software.
i am sure a byers gear set will fit into the base even if the drive motor is
outside the case.
if i get the extra money next year i may try to mount a byers set in the
base.
im not worried about goto capabilitys.
i would just like to take a picture with the scope.
thats why i bought it.
i dont think much about the jb-weld gears.
i just cant see the threads coming out smothe enough for photography,at
least at 5"-6"gear.
hose clamp screws are too corse also.
but theese are just my oppinions.
oh and i usually do cut out most of the old message.
take care
