ATM OT: Astro Archive in December

Hello!

Some brief news before I leave for a 3 week trip:

- Astroarchive has been very stable on the new database platform. That relieves the 
server finally of its at least thrice-a-day boot cycle... and lets me enjoy my trip!
- There's now a german ATM mailing list. It has been included in the archive.
- The Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) should make a great portal site / default 
location for you and your browser. Depending on your location you can link to the master 
site http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html at NASA or the mirror site in 
Switzerland on the astroarchive at http://www.astroarchiv
e.com/apod.
- I'm an astronomy atlas buff, thus I have put together a small list of atlases that I 
either own or found interesting. See the Books section on the astroarchive site.
- That's enough bother for now, the news won't be back until January 1999.

A very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all, and may the Geminids be plentiful 
this year (see the countdown on the Java site)!
