Hi Kevin, I think I may be able to help you track down "N.J. Rumsey".
Just give me a few days while I put on my 'detective' hat. There are not too
many ATMs in N.Z. so if we don,t know someone, we usually know someone who
dose; if you get my drift.
The person that you mention fits the discription well of 'Gary Nankivell'
who lives in lower hut, (a suberb of Wellington), and worked at the D.S.I.R.
I last met him at Stardate, where he talked about a simple unobstructed
scope. However he should know Mr Rumsy, trouble is, he is getting on in
years and he may not have an email address so it may take some time.
Thanks to all who replied re wire brush. .........now relegated to the
mechanical section of the shed.
I have always used the onion bag trick, But there is nothing like a quick
scrub with a wire brush to rejuvenate a shiny lap. (and scratch the glass)
