ATM 40 Pounder Report ( First light)

Hi again
Well it's official the project is a success a friend and I just spent
the last 3 hours putting the all aluminum 40 Pounder Scope through the
paces only to find everything was acting like it should, a dob. The
motions were excellent you could place Jupiter at 250 power anywhere in
the field of a 50 degree eyepiece and it would stop dead in its tracks.
The 3/4" 1/3 wave glass mirror gave stunning images of Saturn which
excited my friend since he was the one who tediously figured the thin
mirror. The best part for me was packing up the 16" scope because it was
more like packing up a 10", a joy for sure.
