I do like to do my part to get folks thinking. However, my error in the Dob
vs. SCT post is an example of what can happen when one gets in in the middle
of a thread. Still, my desire to approach things from all sides overshadows my
need not to shame myself.

..... Fair comment Bill, but the original post was a specific request for
just that comparrison.....  when given the option of a commercial 10" SCT or
an 18" Newtonian, We replied "the 18" is the obvious choice".
