I've used the epoxies available for model airplane
builders for many years and many uses and have
found them essential. Especially in making focusing
mounts from old photographic lens assemblies,
extenders for cameras, star diagonals etc.  When you
want two closely matched tubes to stay together
epoxy is better than small screws  everytime.  When
putting two pieces of wood together epoxy holds it
in place uniformly  so that screws can put it there
permamently.
