It's sold by paneling and formica centers as a substrate for counter
tops instead of plywood or particle board. Thats where it was introduced
to us for our kitchen project. It's no more than compressed cardboard.
We decided to do the countertop over in Lunan ply. It Gives Nice clean
edges and holds an edge very sharp. A BIG improvment. The saleperson at
the paneling center told us he had similar complaints about the MDF and
will give us credit.
