ATM Aluminum solder
I want to solder some aluminum tubing together. Does anyone know how
those low temperature solders do on ATM stuff. Is the joint not strong
enough, is the flux used too acidic, does it fall appart when exposed to
the coooooold? I got some low temp AL solder that doesn't use flux at
the LA county fair. They say it can be applied using a butane torch.
I have experimented a little, and the solder will bend the Aluminim
before two pieces can be pulled appart. Just looking for advice from
the list.
Also, is there an easy way to cut the end of the tubing so I can solder
tubing at 90 degrees from each other? I need a pattern to follow for 1
" tubing.
Thx, Lui
