Re: [ATM] TDE on a 6f6 mirror

Good morning all,

All, thanks for all of you responses. You guys are quite patient.

Dale, yes you are right. It's time to stop taking pictures and get
back to smoothing the surface and spherizing the figure. But, I do
appreciate you helping me figure out my setup. 8-)

Tom, good point on the baffling. I haven't had a lot of problems with
air current. Generally, if it's still outside it's pretty still in my
garage. Unfortunately, I think the lumpiness of the Foucault images
are actual surface undulations. Hence, I really need to just get back
to work.

Jim, the zone readings are within about .002 inches of where they are
supposed to be. I just initially wanted some opinions on the
rolled/turned edge. In the ensuing discussion we came to the
conclusion that the mirror does indeed have a rolled edge plus some
surface roughness. Since I was in the process of returning from an
overly deep center to a sphere, I think I need to finish returning to
a sphere and then take another shot a figuring.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks,

-Anthony
