Re: [ATM] Tester question
Actually, the alignment light can be anything that is reasonably
small and very bright. The brighter, the easiere to see when
it is out of focus because the mirror and tester are not at the
right distance.
To setup the alignment lamp, put the lamp into a hole so that the
light source is about at the same distance as the KE is and then
align your mirror and get a rough Foucault image. At this point,
go back and turn on the alignment lamp (you really don'/;t need
to turn it off but there is the propierity of things) and mark
where the light falls on the tester from the alignment lamp. It
will be approximately equally distance from the KE as the light
is but will be on the opposite quadrant from the li9ght.
To use, just turn on the light, point the m mirror so that the
light from that lamp falls wherrrrre it had before (you did mark
it, didn't you?), and start testing.
