Fear not! Newport Glass is a fairly substantial company that has been around 
for years. I believe that they manufacture their own glass and they 
certainly are not a "fly by night" company. Check their web site, It is 
impressive.

I have placed several orders with them. When they didn't have the glass I 
needed in stock, such as two seven inch Pyrex blanks, they cast them for me 
and I had them within ten days of my order.
