Better than eyes or digital cameras is the good 'ole Foucault test - 
take one, post the readings together with ROC estimate, moving/fixed 
source, zone radii, to the list and we can then argue about what to 
do (or, if you're lucky, say you're DONE), not what the mirror's got 
for a surface.
