Re: [ATM] TDE on a 6f6 mirror

Hello Anthony,

Nice optic test bench, but located in a garage. Lots of air currents.
This does not answer your question but hopefully it is helpful:

Go to your local hardware store and get a piece of 0.5" (or there about)
4' x 8' rigid house wrap foam; extruded polystyrene, blue board, works
great. You can use anything, even a bed sheet or 4 mil sheet poly and it
will help reduce air currents. Build a three sided tent to cover your
optic test beam (include test stand and Foucault tester).

When you get to 1/4 wavefront and want a little more than a minimum
figured mirror, the tent will make all the difference.

Hope that helps. Please post your progress as you go. Good Luck.

Tom Polk
