Try Goo-B-Gone on a smaple first..
another is to find out what attacks the finish on a test piece
and use that.  Acetone may work fine as will turpentine.  My fun
is to stop by the solvents aslile of Lowe's and try out the
various solvents there and see qhat happens.  Then again, nobody
ever bothers to assist you in those stores so you will not
usually be bothered trying things out.
