ignore the solid wooden focuser at the top of the
page...just scroll ALL the way down and you'll see the
wooden block that pinches the focuser shaft up against
the draw tube.

The scope has been in the house (~40% humidity) since
about 10 a.m. this morning (it's 8:20 p.m. now) and
the focuser is behaving smoothly again. I'm convinced
it's the moisture at fault. It was about 98% humidity
here in SoCal last night.
