Yep, I've seen that picture (I think it's the last one in the "Interesting Telescopes"
appendix): the device was referred to as a "Dall Pocket Telescope" - same general layout
as the "Lazzaroti Gladius", but about a 3 or 4 inch diameter primary - the secondary was
on a single-strut mount instead of the tubular support used on the "Gladius" (nice touch,
that...) and there was a vertical handle (with what looked like a bicycle hand-grip) on
the bottom of the structure rail.
This "Gladius" looks like a clever concept - but the prices - $6.7k for a 10"
and $8k for a 12.5" ("please inquire" about the 16") - seem a bit on the high
side...
