Hi Jim, yes I did mangle the scientific units in my original posting.
So a correction:
4kW is the power consumption of the kiln (3.8kW for the kiln the rest is the
electronics), and as it ran at 100% rated power output for the first 19hrs
it used 76kW, and as it is now drawing about 20% rated output it will draw
about 240kW over the next 301hrs (the total program time is 320hrs). I pay
$0.13/kW hour (a direct quote from my power bill) so the total dollar
expenditure will be about $40.
I hope I got it right this time, if not please someone let me know where I
screwed up this time!
