[ATM] Free Ebook on Homemade Laboratory Scale
In my other post today I mentioned that, when my public terrestrial
telescope project is finished, I'll write and publish an eBook on how to
duplicate its design. Then I mentioned that the eBook on the telescope will
be similar to one that I wrote a few years ago on how to make a homemade
laboratory scale, and I said that I'd send a complimentary copy of this lab
scale eBook to anyone one on this list who wants one. But my offer was
buried in the text of the other posting, so I'll offer it again separately
here.
It's titled "The Homemade Sleeter Centigram Balance", and it teaches the
reader how to make a homemade laboratory balance that's accurate to 10
milligrams, using simple hobby tools and things you can buy at a hardware
store. I'd originally intended it as a separate chapter in my book, "Amateur
Rocket Motor Construction" (Google the title in quotes or look it up on
Amazon.com), but by the time the rocket motor book went to press, it was so
large that there simply wasn't room. The construction of this scale is an
interesting and educational project that combines science with simple
woodcraft and metalcraft; the same basic skills needed for "ATMing". If
you'd like a copy, send a separate email to d.sleeter@roadrunner.com, and
I'll email back a copy as a pdf attachment,
