Your right, I think one of the best things for kids these days is trying
to get them back onto real world activities. My oldest son who is 6 has
been involved as much as a 6 yr old can in building this 8" for him.
I hope one day when he is older the the best memories were that scope
and things thing he observed through it, not a favorite playstation
game of the time.

Thanks regarding the 8" it's been an interesting project. Looking forward
to the next one 16" or maybe an 18" for dad  : )))))
