Re: [ATM] Softening Gugolz

I've not had much experience with thinning pitch buttt there has
been some.
Linseed oil was used on a batch of Goglz pitch to soften it and
either too much of the wrong kind of oil was used or something
but the pitch started crumbling after a few weeks. It wsas
enodugh that a slight pressure on an edge of the pitch would make
it turn to practically dust.
My theory on this is that the castor oil isn't part of the pitch
to begin with and thus made up something different than pure
pitch.
Much better to use something which is part of pitch which is gum
turpentine which is made from tree sa, not the chemical mineral
spirits or artifical turpentine. Since it is the volatiles that
come out of the pitch to make it harder, putting the volitale
stuff back in should make it softer.
