Yes but Don also pointed out that you don't use the 2"
diameter version but instead small diameter pieces
mounted in an aluminum or some other housing.
ABS lifespan rated for indoor use may be much less in
outdoor location.
Sounds to me that you could just as easily use the
threaded rod technique to move the eyepiece instead of
the larger objective.
