Actually, the only thing I see reallly wrong with Richard's
method is the flailing aout that will ahppen when you start using
the bables.  However, if you use massive enough weights, i.e. use
tyour auto on the calble to provide enough mass, you can get away
with doing things this way.  Yup, hanging your car from a cable
with endpoints about three feet apart for an eight inch mirror
and letting it swing back and forth!  Sounds about right!
