There is a difference between the mounting of the mirror cell to
the mirror and the support of the cell itself.  The mirror should
be supported at the 120 degree p0ints but the mirror cell itself
may be at the other positioning.
If you want orthanoganal mounting adjustments, the 45-45-180
arrangement will do nicely providing that you do it rigidly
enough to keep the half of the cell that is unsupported from
moving about.  The push-pull arrangement thus becomes the nicer
arrangement to do the adjustment bit. Flexing of the cell will
not affect the support of the mirror as the plane of support of
the mirror will still be on the three 120 degree points. and that
plane will only move in angle if things go soft.  Thus, the
alignment may go south by microradians of tilt of the mirror but
the support will still be the same.
