Yes I didn't mean to imply it was perfect, just that there is no noticeable
roughness under Foucault or Ronchi even under close examination, and even
under a tester with a nice zoom camera. But you are right, at "some level"
between visiable and molecular there is some roughness.
I also brush the lap lightly with a brass brush before pressing to give it a
tad texture.
