Don't understand your reasoning here...  The point of moving the tool around
while pressing is to avoid localized heating of the glass that result in dog
biscuit, zones, and other unsavory roughness once polishing commences.
Leaving the tool unmoved for longer periods of time can etch the glass,
embedding CeO2 in the glass if the arrangement should dry out.
