Re: [ATM] A bit of hand polishing advice please................
Hello again John
I think the TDE has gotten better since the first pictures although
I don't think it changed much if any on the last session.
You are doing something right. That is a pretty good sphere and the
center hill is small.
You also did well getting spherical with the machine for the series
02 images. Jinking the work location around broke up the zones rather well.
Your lap seems to be working good.
You are putting us on, aren't you? This is your second mirror,
isn't it?
I would say keep up what you are doing for a while and see if the
edge gets better. You might have the hill rubbed out shortly, but it is not
significant and would go away fast when you start parabolizing. The mirror
is just slightly oblate.
You have the knife coming from the left. The top of my head was
hurting until I got a mirror to look at Foucault image. Maybe would have
been easier to turn the monitor upside down.
By the way... I think the labels for two of the series 01 images
are transposed. "Series01 Inside ROC" is an outside ROC image.
And "Series01 Outside Different Ronchi screen" is an inside ROC image.

G'day Jerry,
>The TDE was in all the images. It is not new after the last session of
work.
Yep, I agree the tde is in all the images, just the amount seemed to
be increasing
Series 4 of the pics again are after equalising overnight and again
after a couple of laps around the barrel, tot, 1/3 normal stroke. These have
just been uploaded.
Picures are at
