Maybe a wiffle tree of two sets of two rollerbearings instead of teflon? I
have good results with two rollerbearings instead of my original piano
wires. While collimating (if more the a tiny adjustment was necessary) the
mirror would 'hang' on the teflon heads of the piano wires. The  bearings I
use now do not have that problem. So maybe it is a good solution here as
well.
