Whatever solution you go with, I strongly suggest using a pulley instead 
of direct-driving the OA or TT. Even if you don't want to 
increase/decrease the rotation rate, you can adjust the tension on the 
belt so that the pulley will slip rather than throw your glass on the 
floor or take off a finger in event of a mishap.
