It would. But there is a problem.  Efforts of many involved require
to be streamlined toward a definite goal, therefore  a manager,
moderator, organizer or whatever you call it would be mandatory. This person 
must be
inherently very efficient in order to manage such a monumental task without 
spending
rest of the life on it. Something like James Lerch kind.
No doubt such a person is difficult to find, but it will be worth of it.
I applaud the idea.
