Re: [ATM] SM4

Roman, et.al.,

My folks at Goddard did the orbit decay analysis to
show that HST will (with high degree of certainty)
make it over the next two cycles of solar activity
without re-entering. That information was used, in
part, by the NASA Administrator Mike Griffin to cancel
the robotic servicing and deorbit module activities.
Luckily, the Space Shuttle return to flight has been
successful-otherwise they wouldn't attempt the HST
servicing mission. One other thing-you'll see a first
with the servicing mission launch---a Shuttle on each
Pad 39A and 39B. The second will be ready to rescue
the crew on-orbit if necessary within 25 days.
